Coliving can mean different things but at heart this is about a shared living space that improves the quality of life for its residents. The rooms are arranged in a communal nature pooling resources and living in close proximity. This unlocks a variety of benefits for its residents, including comfort, affordability and a greater sense of social belonging.
A community will form naturally within the setting and it becomes the starting point of your stories. Every successful person knows that his or her achievement relies on people working together. A single person is stronger when he or she is with a group of people sharing ideas and passions.
Our typical tenants are international professionals (22-42) who are respectful, social and clean. We focus on quality flatshares and spend time looking for the right people to live together and feel at home. A minimum rental contract of 5 months allows us to build a dynamic and friendly community but most of our tenants stay much longer, on average about 18 months+.
We get to know each and every one of our members and do make sure that as much as possible their interests, age group and to some extend also professional background overlaps. We only have international academics
We are collectively responsible for building our community.
Be the best neighbour you can be.
Communities feed on the input of their members, the small gestures that make a real difference, the chat over a cup of tea after a long day at work or the commonly shared meal in the evening.
Be available, be friendly and be open towards others. It is a great way to build trust with one another and spend quality time with your housemates.
We are proud of each and every one of our members. Do not hesitate to get in touch with us for comments and feedback.
Coliving is similar to a house sharing arrangement. People move into their own private bedroom and share communal spaces with other members. Our focus is on building a community between members, ensuring that they are able to lead a stress-free, enjoyable life surrounded by great people.
With LuxFriends at its most basic level, you share a home with at least two other members, but it’s also about sharing your life over time with a local and city-wide community. Shared living happens across homes, areas, towns and all over the world.
At LuxFriends we take our time to get to know you a little better and sugggest to you properties that make sense taking into account your budget, areas of interest and how these maybe connect to your work or social interests.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer rooms to couples as all rooms are for single occupancy only.
Everything you should need to set you up for good in Luxembourg. All our homes are fully furnished down to the knives and forks.
They include utility bills, fast internet and essentials such as fortnightly housekeeping of all common areas although you are still expected to contribute to the day to day operations and cleaning of the flat.
All LuxFriends leases are for a min of 5 months with a 2 months notice period. In other words you can leave any month you want after 5th months.
Just do make sure that you give us notice in writing with your signature on it if you intend to move out. Additionally you can also move rooms within LuxFriends and the wider Vauban&Fort Group after 5 months and chose another of our 500+ rooms in the city for a small fee.
We’d recommend that you register and add interesting properties to your wishlist. We will contact you as soon as any of these becomes available.
We will also add you to our waiting list and notify you first if we have a new property that is coming up (even before it is being advertised – ‘early bird’).
We select new members according to the core values of our community, namely being respectful, clean and social.
